Wisconsin Holstein Seeks Communications AssociateBaraboo, WI – September 22, 2017 – Wisconsin Holstein seeks an energetic, creative marketing and communications professional to join our team as a Communications Associate. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills, have experience in event planning, and a desire to mentor the WHA Junior Holstein program.

Qualified candidates will be expected to assume these responsibilities:

  • Create and lead an effective communications strategy to develop the WI Holstein brand and implement creative marketing and communication tools
  • Develop and manage print and digital communication strategies.
  • Plan and execute WHA events and activities often directing committees
  • Create and design advertising for members through print, website, and virtual tours
  • Develop written internal and external editorial communication
  • Provide leadership in coordinating all WHA events and programs including the 2019 National Holstein Convention
  • Manage WHA Jr. Holstein activities and WHA youth events
  • Perform public relations activities representing WHA at industry functions
  • Establish sound working relationships with vendors, sponsors, members, and other associations.

This position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in addition to managing the youth program, coordinating National Convention host duties, and directing WHA events. The Communications Associate must have the ability to work with a diverse group of people while managing all WHA communications and branding strategies. Dairy industry experience is preferred.
