Local cheese company steps up to help dairy farmers without milk buyer – WISC

It’s been a long couple of weeks for dozens of dairy farmers in Wisconsin caught in a trade dispute, but a local cheese company is stepping up to help.

A trade dispute has stopped milk exports to Canada, affecting companies like Grassland Dairy Products, which had worked with Wisconsin farmers.

Mullins Cheese has added some of the 75 displaced dairy farmers to its plant.

State officials are thanking the company for its support……
