MILWAUKEE — The number of dairy cooperatives in Wisconsin continues to shrink, leaving farmers with fewer options for selling their milk, according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture report.

The number of agriculture cooperatives headquartered in Wisconsin dropped from 180 in 2000 to 113 in 2015 — reflecting a trend threatening small dairies across the nation. And those headquartered in Wisconsin dropped from 31 to 21 in that same period…………
