California Department of Food and Agriculture Request for ApplicationsAs a public service to our partners and stakeholders, EPA’s AgSTAR Program is pleased to share the following information about an opportunity for competitive grants.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is accepting applications for its Alternative Manure Management Program (AMMP). Under the AMMP, CDFA awards competitive grants to California dairy and livestock operations for technologies and specific management practices that result in long-term methane emission reductions and maximize environmental benefits.

CDFA anticipates awarding between $9 to $16 million to support non-digester management practices that reduce methane emissions from dairy and livestock operations. CDFA will fund up to 100% of the total project cost with a maximum grant award of $750,000 per project. Grant applications are due by October 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
